PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method capable of derivatizing a target acrylate compound in high degree of conversion without excessively using a complicate and expensive alcohol substance as a raw material and recovering the target acrylate in high yield without loss in a treating step after reaction. SOLUTION: In an acid (HX)-eliminating condensation reaction of an acrylic acid halide with an alcohol, high degree of conversion and high recovery ratio are attained by using an alkene as the acid (HX) trapping agent and thereby, a method for efficiently obtaining the acrylate was found.
