PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable speed increase by moderating impact when vessels 2 accumulated on an accumulating conveyor 8 is stopped. SOLUTION: The accumulating conveyor 8 for accumulating a predetermined number of vessels 2 and a supply conveyer 4 for supplying the vessels 2 to the accumulating conveyor 8 are continuously arranged via a connecting member 6. A head stopper 18 abutting on the head vessel 2 of the conveyed vessels 2 is arranged on the accumulating conveyor 8 movably back and forth in the vessel conveying direction. The number of vessels 2 conveyed to the accumulating conveyor 8 beyond the connecting member 6 is counted by a second count sensor 36. This vessel 2 is butted on the head stopper 18 while the head stopper 18 is moved back at a speed lower than the conveying speed of the vessel 2 by the accumulating conveyor 8. When the count sensor 36 counts the predetermined number of vessels 2, supply of the vessels 2 from the supply conveyer 4 is stopped and the head stopper 18 is also stopped. Then, the head stopper 18 is moved back to separate the vessel 2 on the accumulating conveyor 8 from the vessel 2 on the connecting member 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
