The invention relates to a collection of planar polygonal decorative elements (1 to 6), such as tessera, for production of a paving or a mosaic, characterised in comprising at least two pieces, a first irregular octahedron (1), with a longitudinal axis of symmetry and a transversal axis of symmetry, made up of two irregular pentagons (1a, 1b) with two sides of length (L1) and two sides of length (L2), the bases of which, formed by the joined sides of the pentagon (1<u>a</u>, 1<u>b</u>), have a different length from the four other sides and a second piece in the form of a lozenge (2), with sides of length (L3) dependent on the length (L), separating the opposed apices of the piece in the form of an hour glass (1), including, at each apex, the half-joint and half of the thickness of joint e/2, separating two adjacent paving pieces. The invention further relates to a method for laying said decorative elements and the device for carrying out the above. |
