<p>A vibration damped mounting, e.g. for a cooling fan inside a PC, has the fan (1) block mounted on the base plate (3) via an intermediate soft elastic mounting frame (2). The frame has studs (21) which locate inside the mounting holes in the fan block and is stood off the mounting plate by other elastic studs. The fitting is completed by a fan grill (4) fitted under the mounting plate. The whole structure is held together by adhesive and requires no separate fasteners. The elastic mounting plate includes a flexible lipped skirt pressed between the fan block and the mounting plate.</p> |
