The windscreen wiper assembly has an eccentric joint with a ball head (13) and a bolt (14) as a link between the swing lever (8) and the drive rod. The joint fits into a drilling (15) as a holder at the swing lever or the drive rod for a keyed and shrunk fit, in a given angular setting to the longitudinal axis of the lever/rod. The parallel bolt (A) and joint (G) axes are at a given gap (X) from each other.
