<p>A breathing aid for a sub-surface swimmer consists of a mouthpiece (5) connected to a hose system terminating above the surface in water ingress prevention valve (6). The mouthpiece is linked to a first hose section (3), an intermediate hose section (2) and a terminal section (1) incorporating the water ingress prevention valve (6). The hose system is profiled to be body conformal.</p>
