The invention relates to an electric separator which comprises a flat flexible substrate including a plurality of openings, whereon and wherein is provided a layer. Said substrate is a polymeric nonwoven and the layer is an electrically insulating ceramic layer. Said separator is characterized in that the nonwoven has a thickness less than 20 mum, a porosity higher than 50 % and a pore radius distribution such that 50 % of the pores have a radius between 75 and 150 mum. |
