There are provided a video input device for conversation with sign language, a video I/O device for conversation with sign language, and a sign language interpretation system using the same capable of transmitting video other than sign language while performing explanation by sign language. The video input device for conversation with sign language includes an object imaging camera (16) imaging an object other than the sign language, a sign language imaging camera (14) imaging the sign language of a deaf mute, a fixing device (15) for fixing the sign language imaging camera (14) at the waist of the deaf mute, a video combination device (17) for combining the video of the cameras (14, 16), and a video telephone connection device (18) for supplying the combined video to a video telephone terminal (10). The I/O device for conversation with sign language further includes a display device (12) for displaying the sign language and a fixing device (13) for fixing the display device (12) in front of the eyes of the deaf mute, so that the sign language video being receiving at the video telephone terminal (10) is supplied to the display device (12). The sign language interpretation system (100) provides sign language interpretation service which can be used when a deaf mute converses with a non-deaf mute person by using the video I/O device for conversation with sign language.
