<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic clock which is portable and a charger capable of efficiently charging the electronic clock. <P>SOLUTION: A charger 100 for an electronic clock 400 that comprises a secondary battery 430, comprises a power supply 210 capable of regularly acquiring the electric power of constant quantity from outside, a charge process circuit 243 for charging the secondary battery 430 of the electronic clock 400, and a receiver part 300 capable of receiving the standard frequency broadcast including the time information propagated in the air. The time of the electronic clock 400 is set based on the time information received by the receiver part 300. So, no charging part or receiving part is required to be incorporated in the electronic clock 400, for smaller size utilizing that amount of space, resulting in further portability.
