摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a waste treatment method which suppresses the decrease in temperature in a furnace during charging a waste, enhancing combustion efficiency, and can classify and recover highly efficiently a reducing gas, especially hydrogen gas, generated during a high-temperature melting treatment, while suppressing the generation of hazardous gases (e.g. dioxins). <P>SOLUTION: In the waste treatment method, a waste containing water in a content at most 15 times that of an oil component is charged into a reducing-gas-generating melting furnace 1 and melted at 1,500&deg;C or higher in a reducing atmosphere; the rate of carbon solution reaction is increased to generate a high-temperature reducing gas instantaneously; and in order to suppress the generation of dioxins, the reducing gas is highly efficiently recovered while being kept at 850&deg;C or higher. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
