<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a developing device which has structure using a recovery roll of a hybrid developing system and has stable developing properties free from nonuniform density or ghost, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device is provide with a toner carrier 2 which is opposite to an image carrier 1 holding an electrostatic latent image on it and holds toner on its surface, a developer carrier 3 for supply which supplies toner to the toner carrier 2, a developer carrier 4 for recovery which recovers the toner from the toner carrier 2, and a conveying member 5 for transferring the two-component developer between the two developer carriers 3 and 4. The developing device causes the developer to flow from the developer carrier 4 for recovery, via the conveying member 5, to the developer carrier 3 for supply supply. In the developing device, a regulating member 6 for regulating the thickness of a developer layer on the outer circumferential surface of the conveying member 5 is disposed opposite the conveying member 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI |
