<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground pipe laying method for simplifying underground pipe laying work by an open-cut method and shortening work hours. <P>SOLUTION: A light receiving device 4 is provided at a position which becomes a target construction point in a channel 20 to match an aiming point 425 of a light receiving body 420. A laser irradiation device 3 is provided on an already laid underground pipe 10 to adjust in such a way that laser beams irradiate the aiming point 425. A sand foundation 22 is formed in the channel 20. Jacks 6, 6 are provided on a light receiving device 4 side of the sand foundation 22 and on an underground pipe 10 side. A guide rail 7 is stretched between support plates 61 and 61. Adjustment is performed so that laser beams are irradiated on an aiming point 713 of a light receiving plate 710 by expanding and contracting a column support 60 of the jack 6. A loaded recessed part forming device 8 is mounted on a guide rail 7 and is moved to form a mounting recessed part 220 in the sand foundation 22.
