PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stabilize the spectrum waveform of ASE light with respect to the change of an environment temperature in a wideband ASE light source. SOLUTION: A light outputted from a wideband ASE light source is separated to a wavelength band of 1,550 nm and a wavelength band of 1,580 nm for monitoring, and a monitor signal for the wavelength band of 1,550 nm is used as a control signal for an excitation light source on the output end side of the ASE light source, while a monitor signal for the wavelength band of 1,580 nm is used as a control signal for an excitation light source on the opposite side of the output end side of the ASE light source.
