PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely perform contents movement operations without deleting parts of contents even if a contents storage device is placed on a general-purpose bus to perform contents movement operations. SOLUTION: A contents transmission apparatus 34 provided with a storage part 1, a contents recording apparatus 31, and a contents movement controller 33, which controls contents movement operations using the contents transmission apparatus 34 and the contents recording apparatus 31, are connected on a 1394 bus 25. The contents movement controller 33 has a movement source controller 12, which manages operations of the contents transmission apparatus 34, and a movement destination controller 7 which manages operations of the contents recording apparatus 31. The contents transmission apparatus 34 has a contents management part 6, which reads contents of a movement object from the storage part 1 and performs stream information update processing for the contents to transmit them to the 1394 bus 25, and a control source monitor 13 which monitors operations of the contents movement controller 33.
