PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing roller excellent in uniformity and long-duration stability of rubbing development to toner, and to provide an electrophotographic apparatus having good developing efficiency and giving a high density, clear and uniform image with little fog. SOLUTION: The developing roller is rotated in pressure contact with a photosensitive drum to supply a positive charge type developer carried on a surface to the top of an electrostatic latent image on the photosensitive drum, thereby developing and visualizing the latent image.
