PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for joining a titanium clad steel and a stainless steel. SOLUTION: In the method, when joining a stainless steel 1 and a titanium three-layered clad steel 2, which is made by stacking a base material 3b, a stainless material layer 4b, a titanium material layer 5 in this order, and which has the stainless material layer exposed on the outer surface of its outer peripheral edge part, the base material of the titanium three-layered clad steel 2 and the stainless steel are joined by conducting build-up weld. On a build-up welded part 6, which is formed between the base material and the stainless steel, build-up weld is further conducted using a stainless material 7. Thus, a welded part is formed being joined to both of the stainless material layer of the titanium three-layered clad steel and the stainless steel and covers the build-up welded part formed between the base material of the titanium clad steel and the stainless steel.
