SINGLE PHASE/THREE-PHASE CONVERTER, AND ITS CONTROL METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control unit for a single phase/three-phase converter capable of compensating the pulsating amount of a single-phase instantaneous current. SOLUTION: An AC power accumulating circuit PS accumulates an AC power between a common connection point CP2 and three connection points P1-P3 in three serial switching circuits. The power accumulating circuit PS accumulates the pulsating component of a single-phase AC power. The AC power accumulating circuit PS comprises an AC reactor LCand a switching circuit SWC arranged between the common connection point CP2 and the three connection points P1-P3 in the three serial switching circuits. The switching circuit SWC selects connection between the AC reactor LCand the three connection points P1-P3 of the three serial switching circuits so that all the pulsating components of the single-phase AC are converted to the instantaneous power supplied to the AC reactor LC.
