BOOTS FOR CONSTANT VELOCITY UNIVERSAL JOINT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide boots for a constant velocity universal joint which can maintain an expected performance without increasing a rotary resistance value even in the state that the two spindles of the constant velocity universal joint for steering take operation angles and which can assure high durability without increasing the outer diameter of the boots. SOLUTION: The boots 21 mounted between the outer ring 1 of the constant velocity universal joint for steering and a middle shaft 5 extended from an inner ring 2 prevents grease from leaking from the interior of the constant velocity universal joint or a foreign matter from entering into the constant velocity universal joint. The peak and valley parts 21d, 21e of bellows part 21c disposed between a large diameter part 21a mounted on the outer ring 1 and a small diameter part 21b mounted on the middle shaft 5 are formed in a shape directed in a joint axial direction.
