PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an orifice body for decompression and a valve capable of sufficiently reducing cavitation action. SOLUTION: This orifice body for decompression is mounted in a pipe where the fluid flows, has at least one through hole, and allows the fluid passing through the through hole to generate pressure loss. This orifice body for decompression has a mesh body in a state of covering at least a part of a cross-section of the pipe in a contraction flow part. In this valve comprising a throttle part inserted into a pipe in a casing, and a cross-sectional area adjusting means for adjusting a cross-sectional area of a through hole of the throttle part, a mesh body is mounted in a state of covering at least a part of the cross-section of the pipe at the contraction flow part.
