PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of accumulation of carbon near an injection port, by reducing heat receiving part of a fuel injection valve and removing a projecting part in a combustion chamber to eliminate an overheated part, in mounting structure of the fuel injection valve for a direct cylinder injection internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: A tip part on a combustion chamber side of the fuel injection valve 12 is in a shape of a circular truncated cone. An inner circumferential face of a tip part on a combustion chamber side of a cylindrical holding member 24 formes a cone face 30 along the tip part of circular-truncated-cone-shaped, and surrounds a tip part of the fuel injection valve. A tip face on the combustion chamber side of the fuel injection valve and a tip face on the combustion chamber side of the holding member define a largely smooth common contour surface 34.
