PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inhibit a gap from being made in a floor joint part and wall joint parts on both sides, even if a peripheral joint part is changed by oscillation of a shaft such as an elevator shaft. SOLUTION: This joint device 1 for the elevator shaft and the like comprises: a pair of guide rails 7 which are horizontally mounted on a wall surface of an opening 6 of the shaft 5 such as the elevator shaft; a joint panel supporting frame 10, both the side parts of which abut on a wall surface, forming a space part of a building, in a longitudinally slidable manner; a floor joint panel 12 for covering the floor joint part ahead of the opening of the shaft; a fixed wall joint panel 13 which is fixed in such a manner as to cover the wall joint parts on both the sides of the shaft; a movable wall joint panel 16 which is mounted on the frame 10 in such a manner as to overlap the fixed wall joint panel and be slidable in the direction of a central part; and a movable wall joint panel operating mechanism 20 which covers the wall joint part by sliding the movable wall joint panel at the wall joint part, when the wall joint parts in both the side parts of the shaft are oscillated so as to be widened.
