FILTRATION TANK AND METHOD FOR CLEANING INSIDE OF FILTRATION TANK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a filtration tank and a method for washing the inside of the filtration tank capable of making the pressure balance of washing water and air ejected to filtration medium constituting a filtration layer uniform and elevating the washing efficiency of filtration medium by feeding the cleaning water and air into the whole of the filtration layer uniformly.

SOLUTION: When raw water supplied from a raw water supply pipe 2 is passed in from the upper part of the filtration tank 1, the raw water is passed through an upper filter medium runoff prevention sprinkling strainer 3, flow out of the side surface of the upper filter medium runoff prevention sprinkling strainer 3 and flow down to the filtration layer 4. Treated water cleaned by the filtration layer 4 is passed through a filter medium support plate 5 and is discharged via a treated water discharge pipe 6. When the filter medium forming the filtration layer 4 is washed, air is supplied from a blower 7, the washing water is supplied from a treated water discharge pipe 6 and both are ejected from through-holes disposed on the filter medium support plate 5.
