<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve safety while a vehicle is traveling by preventing the dissatisfaction of a user such as charge collection in traffic jam. <P>SOLUTION: When a vehicle 101 loaded with communication terminal equipment 102 passes through gates 103 and 106 installed in the entrance/exit of a pay road and gates 104 and 105 installed in the entrance/exit of a service area(parking area), detecting devices 107 to 110 installed at those respective gates detect the passing time of the passing vehicle 101, and an intensive control unit 111 calculates the toll according to the use time of the pay road excluding a time when the vehicle stays in the service area and the traveling distance of the vehicle on the pay road on the basis of the passing time of the vehicle at each gate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
