<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide load equipment that not only makes effective use of power consumption in a resistor during a load test, but also suppresses the load during waste heat treatment. <P>SOLUTION: The resistor 20 of the load equipment 10 has been equipped with a storage tank 22 for electrolyte water solution L and an electrode member 24 soaked into the electrolyte water solution L. A DC positive electrode from a rectifier 14a is connected to a storage tank 22, and a DC negative electrode is connected to the electrode member 24. In addition, a hydrogen collection member 30 is provided to form a first space A1, shielded from atmosphere upper around the electrode member 24, and a hydrogen storage means 40 for hydrogen storage is provided with a hydrogen occluding alloy 42b.
