<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication apparatus which performs a proximity noncontact communication on a plurality of sides of its frame without reducing the possible proximity noncontact communication range, improves the convenience, and prevents the deterioration of the proximity noncontact communication characteristics. <P>SOLUTION: The portable communication apparatus 1 having a proximity noncontact communication function comprises antennas 14A-14C provided on a plurality of sides of the frame 10 of the communication apparatus 1 for making the proximity noncontact communication with an external proximity noncontact communication apparatus 2.
