PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving control device for a crusher capable of efficiently carrying out crushing treatment by appropriately controlling a pressing part by quickly detecting a fluctuation of such a load as to invite a bite of a foreign matter. SOLUTION: The driving control device for the single-shaft shearing crusher is provided with a crushing part for crushing/treating an object to be crushed by the rotation of a rotary shaft provided with a crushing blade and a pressing part for pressing the object to be crushed thrown to a hopper to the crushing part. The device is provided with a motor for driving the rotation shaft, an inverter control part for driving the motor, and a driving control part for setting/commanding the control revolution number or the control torque to the inverter control part and controlling the pressing force or the pressing speed of the object to be crushed by the pressing part. The driving control part judges that the load of the motor is a predetermined high load level or higher which is higher than a standard load level and is lower than the maximum load level by any one of the driving current value, the driving torque and the driving revolution number obtained from the inverter control part and reduces the press force or the press speed of the pressing part than a reference value.
