PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital impedance measuring system, specifically, a digital eddy current system used so as to facilitate the reduction of sensitivity of an eddy current transducer to a magnetic field on a target. SOLUTION: This method 400 for measuring a distance of a gap between the eddy current transducer and the target includes: a stage 402 for finding a normalized impedance curve of the transducer; a stage 404 for finding a temporal change rate of normalized impedance of the transducer along a line of a prescribed gap; and a stage 406 for correcting an apparent size of the gap by use of the found temporal change rate.
