PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize a light intensity modulation magneto-optical disk device having a capacity of 2.6 GB or more on one medium surface of a diameter 130 mm by expanding a recording area and using a format having a bit pitch of 0.42μm or more, and a track pitch of 0.9μm or less, and by optimizing a land part recording medium and a recording waveform and a trial writing pattern, learning an equalizing coefficient, and using a slice matching system. SOLUTION: In the recording medium, recording is carried out on its land part by expanding a recording area and using the format having the bit pitch of 0.42μm or more and the track pitch of 0.9μm or less. In the magneto-optical disk device, a recording waveform and a trial writing pattern are optimized, an equalizing coefficient is learned, and slices are matched. COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI
