An aqueous lysine solution contains an acid radical in an amount such that the solubility of lysine therein has been increased relative to a corresponding aqueous lysine base solution. This means that during storage of lysine in the form of a free-lysine solution (liquid composition), the precipitation of lysine base crystals due to the drop in temperature is prevented thereby improving the handling thereof during transportation (transfer) etc.
