The device has a transformer (1) provided with two secondary windings (a, b) that are connected to bridges (I, II) of semiconducting switches (11-14). The switches adjust on/off states of the transformer for measuring bus voltage (Vbus) and intensity of the secondary windings. An alternating current (AC) catenary and a short-circuited primary winding (p) are connected with the secondary windings.
