<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a conversation control technology to make a much more natural response by executing conversation control based on both conversation contents or a conversation status and information acquired from the outside. <P>SOLUTION: This conversation control apparatus comprises a conversation database in which a plurality of topic specification information is stored, a conversation control part which stores a conversation history decided according to the past conversion and the past reply, and which selects a reply sentence by using the topic specification information decided by the conversation history and conversation information and an environment recognizing part which acquires environment recognition information.
