摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide such a composite material of a carbon nanotube structure and a metal-containing material as to effectively develop characteristics of a carbon nanotube structure, and to provide a manufacturing method therefor. <P>SOLUTION: The composite material comprises the carbon nanotube structure having a network structure formed by chemically bonding and mutually cross-linking the functional groups of a plurality of carbon nanotubes having the functional groups bonded thereon; and the metal-containing material. The method for manufacturing the composite material comprises: the feeding step of feeding a solution containing a plurality of the carbon nanotubes having the functional groups bonded thereon, to the surface of a substrate; the cross linking step of chemically bonding a plurality of the functional groups to form the carbon nanotube structure having the network structure in which a plurality of the carbon nanotubes are mutually cross-linked; and the combining step of combining the metal-containing material with the carbon nanotube structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p>
