<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new method for preparing a new useful intermediate in preparing valsartan. <P>SOLUTION: The method for preparing valsartan or pharmaceutically permissible salts thereof is provided, wherein the method comprises a step for opening oxazolidinone rings of a compound represented by formula (II), a step for (a) removing protecting group Q when W of formula (II) is a group of formula (A) or (b) converting CN group into 5-tetrazolyl group when W is CN, and a step for, if necessary, converting the obtained valsartan into pharmaceutically permissible salts thereof. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
