PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display form for enabling a child and a person who cannot easily see small characters by presbyopia to easily recognize charging information and a display form capable of naturally, visually identifying the charging information at this point in time at display timing that is not prescribed timing for allowing the charging information to be displayed according to on-hook and the input of a user to a keyboard as before, by changing the conventional display form of charging information. SOLUTION: There are provided a step for counting call time with dial as a trigger or counting the amount of data in a mail, a step for storing cumulative charging information where the cumulative sum of charging information is calculated with the end of a call or the end of the transmission of a mail as a trigger into a memory, a step for extracting character image display data corresponding to the cumulative charging information from a plurality of character image display data stored into the memory of a portable telephone in advance, and a step for displaying the extracted character image display data on the display means of the portable telephone.
