PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a release voltage computation method capable of calculating precisely a release voltage, even when no linearity exists in an IV characteristic. SOLUTION: A discharge current area of a battery is divided into a plurality of current areas, linear regression computation is carried out based on a sampling data in a current area of 0<I≤I<SB>3</SB>, and an IV characteristic straight line L11 is calculated to calculate a virtual internal resistance in the current area. Linear regression computation is carried out by the same manner, using each sampling data, in every current area of I<SB>1</SB><I≤I<SB>4</SB>, I<SB>2</SB><I≤I<SB>5</SB>, I<SB>3</SB><I≤I<SB>6</SB>, I<SB>4</SB><I≤I<SB>7</SB>, and IV characteristic straight lines L12, L13, L14, L15 are calculated to calculate virtual internal resistances in the respective current areas. When calculating the release voltage, the release voltage is computed based on the virtual internal resistance in the current area containing a current value of a data (voltage value and current value) used for release voltage computation.
