PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that the outer peripheral end edge of an insert bites the inner peripheral face of a perforated hole of a mold main body when the insert is inserted into or taken out of the perforated hole. SOLUTION: The shaping faces 19, 17 each formed in a couple of inserts 16, 18 are transferred to a glass shaped article by press-forming a glass material 23 to be shaped by feeding the glass material 23 between the couple of inserts 16, 18, then heating those to a prescribed temperature and moving the insert 16 in the opposite direction to the other insert 18. The glass shaping device is equipped with an actuator 20 for driving one insert 16 so as to freely insert/take out it in/of one end of the perforated hole 11 formed in the mold main body 12, a guide face 13 extending from one end of the perforated hole 11 so as to project and continuing to the perforated hole 11, and pressing means 25, 26 for pressing the tip end part of the insert 16 to the guide face 13.
