PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a composite particle capable of controlling or utilizing optical properties (transparency, concealability and brilliance) which are characteristics of a plate-like powder, and its production method; and to provide cosmetics capable of covering a fault of a recessed part by using the composite particle. SOLUTION: The plate-like powder-including composite particle is a composite particle comprising a thermoplastic resin and the plate-like powders. The composite particle has a volume-average particle diameter of 1-100μm and of which the shape is spherical or spheroid having the ratio of a major axis (a) to the maximum thickness (c) (a/c) of 1-100.
