PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily adjust a position of a footrest relative to the lower legs by enabling the footrest to be placed as far as possible from a main body of a chair. SOLUTION: In the chair including the main body 2 of the chair placed on a floor surface F, the footrest 3 placed on the front side of the main body 2 of the chair, and a footrest moving mechanism 9 for moving the footrest 3 from the front side of the main body 2 of the chair to the underside of the main body 2 of the chair, the footrest moving mechanism 9 is equipped with a swinging radius changing means 18 for reducing a radius in swinging the footrest 3 relative to the main body 2 of the chair to prevent interference between the footrest 3 and the floor surface F when the moving footrest 3 comes close to the floor surface.
