PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a modified polyphenylene ether of a high commercial value by using a recycled polystyrene heretofore disposed of or used in uses of low commercial values. SOLUTION: The polyphenylene ether resin composition comprises a polyphenylene ether (A) of a weight-average molecular weight of 60,000 or higher and a recycled polystyrene (B).
