A system is disclosed consisting of a downhole well monitoring computer and well diagnosis computer, for a real-time diagnosis of multiple downhole oil production, well progressing cavity pump systems. The well monitoring computer retrieves raw sensor' data, calculate sensors' descriptive parameters and sends them to a well diagnosis computer. The well diagnosis computer analyzes sensors' data and parameters for sensors' symptoms and patterns, and diagnoses well progressing cavity pump system malfunctions. The diagnostic results and appropriate recommendation for remedial actions are displayed to the operators, and/or sent to a Web site, and/or sent to the field staff.
