There is provided a charge transport monomer of formula (I) <EMI ID=1.1 HE=55 WI=103 LX=603 LY=562 TI=CF> <PC>[wherein ```Ar is a linker comprising at least one optionally substituted arylene or heterocyclic group; ```L represents a divalent hydrocarbon or hetero-atom-containing hydrocarbon group which may be branched or contain a cyclic structure; ```R1 to R5 each independently represent a group selected from the group consisting of a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an alkoxy group having 1 to 20 carbon atoms, an aryl group having 6 to 60 carbon atoms, an aryloxy group having 6 to 60 carbon atoms, an arylalkyl group having 7 to 60 carbon atoms, an arylalkoxy group having 7 to 60 carbon atoms, a heterocyclic compound group having 4 to 60 carbon atoms, a cyano group, a nitro group, and a halogen atom; R1 to R5 and substituents within Ar may combine to form a saturated or unsaturated 5- or 6-membered ring; and "alkyl" may contain a cyclic structure] and polymers thereof. Compositions of such polymers are also claimed. The charge transport material can easily be coated to form a film, is less likely to be crystallized during or after film formation, has excellent charge transport capability, and high applicability to electronic devices. |
