<p>The flexible roller brake is for a wheel (5) with a tire (6) on periphery of which a flexible roller (4) engages, which is fitted on an axle (10). The axle (11) of the wheel and that of the flexible roller are parallel to each other. The two axles are movably located, so that the distance (a) between them can be altered, whilst they always remain parallel to each other. The clearance between the tire and the flexible roller is sufficiently large that the flexible deformation (y) is altered dependent upon the required brake effect.</p> |
