To give up-to-date information on deviations from published timetables, especially with railway traffic, at least a timetable of the day is produced as a best prognosis timetable (1) and especially from a disposition timetable (3) and a prognosis timetable (4). At least one current timetable document (9) is produced from the best prognosis, which is configured individually and updated when a timetable change occurs for the day. The current timetable document is passed to a distribution center (8) to be available for operating personnel (14), railway business partners (15), passengers (16), information displays (17), etc.
