The hammer drill has a housing (2) with motor (3), drive shaft (4), ventilator (21), transmission (5), intakes (11,13,15) and exhausts. The ventilator has a rotor (23) with blades (24), and an additional bearing plate (22) on the side of the rotor facing the transmission. The plate has several slots (26), positioned concentrically to a passage for the drive shaft. The side of the plate facing the rotor has a labyrinth defined by a ring. The transmission is a belt drive.
