The motor vehicle's roof has two opening covers with the rear cover (20) lowerable by its front edge (20V) and the front cover (18) movable at least partially over the rear cover into its lowered position. The front cover by its rear edge (18H) can be raised and is movable on guides (26) by means of supports (24) located near to its rear edge. The front cover and/or the rear cover can be raised up individually or simultaneously into a ventilating position. The front cover in the rearwards displaced open position lies with its rear edge behind the rear edge (20H) of the rear cover.
