A method for applying a coating to deep-fry products, such as fried potato chips, wherein the deep-fry products are dried and wherein a layer of aqueous flour batter is applied to the deep-fry products. The coating is applied to the deep-fry products before the deep-fry products are dried. The coating is then applied to the deep-fry products while the deep-fry products are contacted with a dipping solution. In the dipping solution, the flour batter is added in a suspension. |
