In a fully automated process to accurately calibrate the position of a work piece (1) relative to an electrode (9) and a milling tool. The work piece is clamped on a bench whose position many be adjusted in both the X and Y planes. In the process the work piece is shifted to a first position in which it makes contact with the electrode, and the position is logged. The work piece and electrode positions are then reversed, the work piece and electrode are brought into contact, and the positions logged. |
