METAL CORD WITH IMPROVED PENETRATION OF RUBBER

A metal cord with improved penetration of rubber includes at least one component element of metal cord with projection to the plane normal to the axisof the metal cord having curve of such shape that in the metal cord micro-gaps are formed for rubber penetration. The curve obtained has two bending radii: the minimal one - at the convex section, and the maximal one - at the concave section, at that the ratio of the maximal bending radius to the minimal one is within the range of 2:1 to 10:1, at that the curve of each next element in projection to the plane normal to the axis of the metal cord repeats the curve of the previous element of the metal cord with angular shift by value at which the distance between the neighboring wires bended in small radius is not less than two radii of bend.
