The switch cabinet (10), which may have a cabinet door, has devices for pressure compensation in the interior of the cabinet dependent on external pressure or suction forces in order to prevent deformation of the cabinet and its walls and to increase its strength under the effect of pressure and/or suction forces. The pressure compensating device is a membrane dividing the cabinet into two chambers.
