The invention relates to a method for transmitting data in a data transmission system. The invention also relates to a data transmission system which includes a receiver (2) and at least one transmitter (4a to 4d). The receiver (2) is operable in a stand-by mode and in a data-receive mode and transfers with the aid of a switch-on signal from the stand-by mode into the data-receive mode. The transmitters (4a to 4d) transfer, via a data transmission, information to the receiver (2) as to when, after this data transmission, the next data transmission is to be expected from the corresponding transmitter (4a to 4d). The switch-on signal is generated in the receiver (2) shortly ahead of the time point at which the next data transmission is to be expected from the transmitters (4a to 4d) so that the receiver (2) transfers from the stand-by mode into the data-receive mode. The time interval at which the receiver (2) is in the data-receive mode can therefore be minimized and therefore the energy consumption of the receiver (2) is minimized. |
